Life Drawing with Caroline DeaneQu
About
An 11-week mixed-ability life drawing course at Mary Ward Centre in Stratford, taught by Caroline DeaneQu on Monday mornings.
This mixed level life drawing course uses short and long poses to explore line, light, colour and composition, drawing on influences from ancient far eastern to western mainstream art. Weekly themes cover body structure, proportions, tonal values, colour theory, foreshortening and composition, with sessions beginning with a 15-minute warm-up pose followed by an explanation of the week's concept. Beginners receive step-by-step support while advanced students take on challenges around the pose and personal direction, with verbal feedback, group exercises and class reviews throughout the 11-week term.
