Life Drawing with Theokritos Papadopoulos

A weekly life drawing course at Mary Ward Centre Stratford, taught by Theokritos Papadopoulos for beginners through to advanced students.

This Thursday afternoon life drawing course runs across two terms: a 12-week autumn block from 24 September to 10 December 2026 and an 11-week spring block from 14 January to 25 March 2027. The model takes a mixture of short and long poses, with long poses sometimes continuing week to week. Students learn to mix colour harmonies and tonal scales from observation and to recognise shape, planes, form and space when working from life. Teaching combines group question-and-answer sessions, individual demonstrations, group discussions and criticisms, with a final criticism completing each session or pose.
