Japanese Kokedama Experience: Create a Living Woodland sculpture
About
A hands-on Japanese kokedama workshop where Yuka of Margaret & Wolfe guides participants in making a moss-covered woodland plant sculpture at Westonbirt's Learning Centre.
This relaxed seasonal workshop explores kokedama, the Japanese art of displaying plants in moss-covered soil balls. Led by Yuka from Margaret & Wolfe, participants create a large kokedama using seasonal evergreen and trailing woodland plants, moss and natural materials, guided step by step through preparing the planting medium, shaping, wrapping and finishing. All materials and equipment are provided, along with Japanese tea afterwards, and the session is limited to 12 adult participants with no previous experience needed.
