Day Camp, Sticks, Stories and Sparks - Sutton Courtenay

A day camp for 8-12 year olds on the Sutton Courtenay nature reserve, with den building, fire lighting, campfire cooking and storytelling.

The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust runs this five-and-a-half-hour day camp for children aged 8-12 at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre. Youngsters explore the nature reserve in autumn, making journey sticks as they go, building dens and testing their fire-lighting skills before cooking over the fire. The day also includes hot chocolate and the chance to create stories inspired by things found on the reserve, with plenty of time spent outdoors.
