Pattern Cutting Alterations - Tops

A four-week practical course teaching makers how to identify and correct fit problems in commercial sewing patterns for tops.

This short course is aimed at makers with little or no pattern cutting experience who already understand clothesmaking and want commercial patterns to fit real bodies. Learners work on the stand through practical class exercises, analyse the fit of their own patterns, and apply accurate alterations to resolve common fit problems. Sewing machines are used to make toiles, and participants bring their own ill-fitting pattern or garment for adjustment.
