Black History Month: Celebrating Its Centenary Year

A free drop-in celebration of Black History Month's centenary with discussion of history and cultural origins, a natural-hair demonstration, food and competitions.

The event marks the annual observance that grew from Carter G. Woodson's work and is organised with Preston Black History Group and Eufro Hair Salon. Its programme includes sessions on slavery and historical memory, music, dance, food and religion, plus practical hair-care demonstrations.
