Willow Basketry - Frame Baskets

Weave an oval willow trug by attaching ribs to a hoop and building up the form with flexible willow.

Master basket weaver Anna Liebmann leads this two-day frame-basket course. Participants attach wooden ribs to a dried hoop, weave with willow and choose either one central handle or two side handles. Tools and materials are included, and the work requires a degree of hand strength. Tea and coffee are provided; bring your own lunch and utensils. The class is aimed at people over 16. Younger crafters may be accommodated with a participating adult; contact the school before booking.
