French Link Stitch Bookbinding
About
A one-day workshop with Cass making a hardback A6 book using exposed French Link Stitch binding with ribbons, fabric or paper covers, pockets and envelopes.
Participants spend the day with tutor Cass creating a hardback A6 book bound with exposed French Link Stitch, incorporating multiple ribbons into the spine and remnant fabric or paper into the cover. The structure opens flat, making it suitable as a sketchbook or journal, and the session covers adding envelopes and pockets as well as how to scale the design up or down at home. All materials are provided, tea and coffee are supplied (bring your own lunch), and attendees leave with a finished book plus access to video tutorials. Suitable for over-16s of all skill levels, from beginners to keen bookbinders.
