Reclaiming Sleep: A Workshop for Restless Nights
About
A 90-minute in-person workshop with psychotherapist Jinny Gupta exploring why sleep breaks down and offering mindfulness and breath tools for restless nights.
This 90-minute workshop is for people whose sleep has become difficult or disrupted, particularly through midlife when hormonal changes may play a part. Jinny Gupta, a psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher, explains why trying harder to sleep backfires and how a stressed body and anxious mind keep each other awake. Participants try cognitive and mindfulness approaches to insomnia, breath and body practices to settle the nervous system, and ways of responding to the anxious 3am voice. The session involves writing, pair conversation and guided practice, with every exercise optional.
