About

A V&A curator talks about Beatrix Potter's scientific study of mushrooms and their place in her folklore and storytelling.

Annemarie Bilclough, Frederick Warne Curator of Illustration at the V&A, explores Beatrix Potter's fascination with fungi. The talk covers Potter's experiences as a scientist studying and experimenting with mushroom germination, as well as her interest in fungi in relation to folklore and storytelling. The event forms part of a programme inspired by RAMM's exhibition Living Labyrinths: Art and Fungi.
