Performance: Bar Tango by Benni Bosetto
About
Benni Bosetto's Bar Tango is a sculptural installation and drop-in tango performance exploring love as a form of intoxication and transformation.
Bar Tango is a new sculptural installation and performance by Benni Bosetto, combining costumes, sculptures, scenographic elements and a sound composition, curated by Almanac with Giulia Civardi. Tango dancers wear costumes inspired by the animal, vegetal and mineral worlds, developed in collaboration with local dancers in each city the project tours to. The work explores the corporeality of love through notions of intoxication, hybridisation and coexistence, questioning social roles and gender binaries. Performances last two hours but are drop-in, so visitors can stay for as much or as little as they like.
