Grow Your Own Planet with Millie Quick
About
A worldbuilding game workshop led by artist Millie Quick in the Sarah Cunningham exhibition, where participants invent and map their own planets.
Local artist Millie Quick leads a relaxed two-hour session playing Grow Your Own Planet, a game of prompts and choices in which players shape a planet's past, map its present and speculate on its future. Taking place in Gallery 3 amid Sarah Cunningham's Midnight Sun exhibition, the session uses drawing, writing and discussion to explore how geology, biology, society and technology shape each other, with participants creating personal lands and contributing to a shared map. It is suitable for storytellers, artists, writers, GameMasters and anyone curious, aged 14 and over, with no previous experience needed. Materials are provided and attendees receive a complimentary copy of the game.
