French Stage 1B

An 11-week beginner French course at Mary Ward Centre, Stratford, teaching speaking, listening, reading and writing for learners with little or no prior French.

This beginners' French course runs for 11 weeks on Tuesday afternoons and is aimed at complete beginners, lapsed learners and travellers, with no prior study required. Lessons are interactive and communication-focused, using practical activities, short dialogues, role-plays and everyday situations to build vocabulary, present-tense grammar, pronunciation and simple conversational skills. Students are asked to bring 'Grammaire progressive du français – Débutant' and are encouraged to attend regularly. The course forms the second stage of a three-part year, following Stage 1A and leading on to Stage 1C.
