The Butser Gathering

A relaxed costumed gathering for reenactors and history enthusiasts at Butser Ancient Farm, with crafts, games, food and drink.

The Butser Gathering is a new one-day event inviting visitors to dress in historical costume from any period of Britain's past, from Stone Age to medieval, and share their passion with others. There are no competitions or strict period themes; the emphasis is on conversation, community and creativity. The day includes food and drink traders, a bar, ancient board games, crafts and activities, and the chance to explore the ancient landscape of the farm.
