Home Education Day - Inspirational Iron Agers

A hands-on home education day at Butser Ancient Farm exploring the transition from bronze to iron through four activities for ages 7-13.

This home education session focuses on the Iron Age, with four 30-minute hands-on activities covering clunch wall building, archaeological digging, jewellery making and board games, alongside time to explore the site's ancient buildings. Led by a member of the education team, it is aimed at ages 7-13 but open to children of all ages, with adults welcome to join in. It is one of seven themed sessions across the year; attendees collect stamps in a Home Education Passport, with a reward for five or more stamps.
