Hand-bound Brush Making Workshop
About
A hands-on one-day workshop with basketmaker Simon Cooper at the Scottish Craft School, making hand-bound brushes from natural fibres and colourful thread.
Basketmaker Simon Cooper, known as The Bumbling Basketeer, leads a relaxed four-hour session at the Scottish Craft School in Dunblane. Participants make up to three brushes across two different brush forms, using natural Tampico or Arenga fibres bound with colourful nylon thread, and can personalise their pieces with decorative details. No previous experience is needed; all tools and materials are provided, and participants leave with completed brushes and the confidence to continue making at home.
