Botanical Printmaking Workshop
About
A one-day botanical printmaking workshop with Liz Gaffney at the Scottish Craft School, printing plants onto paper and fabric.
Artist Liz Gaffney leads a hands-on day exploring how to transfer plants onto paper and fabric through botanical printing. Participants experiment first on paper, then work on upcycled fabrics such as tablecloths and napkins, composing designs that are steamed and cooked to extract plant colours. Suitable for beginners and those refining their technique; all materials are provided and attendees take home a collection of printed papers and fabrics. Classes are suitable for over-16s, with younger crafters welcome if accompanied by a participating adult.
