Marbling on Paper and Fabric Workshop
About
A one-day hands-on workshop at the Scottish Craft School teaching traditional marbling techniques on paper and fabric using a thickened water bath and acrylic inks.
This one-day workshop introduces the heritage craft of marbling on paper and fabric, with no prior experience required. Tutor Shona demonstrates traditional techniques using a thickened water bath and high-quality acrylic inks, applied with brushes, droppers and handmade tools to create unique patterns. Participants take home marbled papers and fabrics suitable for bookbinding, sewing or scrapbooking, and are encouraged to bring books to dip page edges. All tools and materials are included, tea and coffee are provided, and classes are suitable for over-16s.
