Hand-Stitched Autumn Mini-Quilting Workshop
About
A two-day hand-stitching workshop with Eilidh Weir at the Scottish Craft School, turning fabric scraps into a nature-inspired mini quilt.
Over two days, tutor Eilidh Weir guides participants through traditional hand-stitching and piecing techniques to transform small fabric remnants into a unique mini quilt, suitable as a wall hanging, table mat or the start of a larger project. Patterns are inspired by flowers, foliage and insects, and the workshop emphasises slow stitching, repurposed textiles and simple patchwork and quilting stitches. It is open to complete beginners and experienced sewers, and is suitable for over-16s (younger crafters may attend with a participating adult by prior arrangement). Tools and materials are provided, with tea and coffee included; participants bring their own lunch.
