Bookbinding Workshop: Memory Books
About
A one-day bookbinding workshop at the Scottish Craft School where tutor Cass teaches participants to make an envelope-and-pocket memory book using French link stitch.
This full-day workshop with tutor Cass covers making a set of envelope pages and stitching them together with an exposed French link stitch, then adding hard front and back covers and collaging onto the pages. The finished book is designed for storing correspondence, letters, postcards and papery treasures, and can be themed as a gift. Suitable for beginners and keen bookbinders, the class includes all materials, tea and coffee, and follow-up video tutorials; participants bring their own lunch. Classes are suitable for over-16s, with younger crafters accommodated if accompanied by a participating adult.
