Cook + Create
About
A half-term cookery and creative holiday club for young people aged 11–16, starting with cooking at the School of Artisan Food before a walk and hands-on workshop with the Harley Foundation team.
Each day begins with a practical cookery session in the School of Artisan Food kitchens, where participants make and eat lunch, then take a short walk through the Welbeck Estate before a creative workshop in Harley artist studios. The four published workshop activities are: 21 October, Halloween costume accessories; 22 October, a crazy-golf course from recycled materials; 28 October, pottery painting; and 29 October, printing and textile techniques to upcycle a T-shirt. Drop-off is at the School and collection is at the Harley Gallery; the programme runs 09:30–15:00. Food and materials are provided. Free places are available for eligible Free School Meals participants, and bookings have closed. A medical and emergency-contact form is required after booking. The organisers cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
