Hand Lettering and Modern Calligraphy

A one-day beginner workshop with Rosie Johnson teaching modern calligraphy and hand lettering across different media and surfaces.

This one-day workshop at Attenborough Arts Centre teaches total beginners modern calligraphy, from forming individual letters to joining them into words with embellishments. Participants then apply their skills to projects such as wedding stationery, wall art, greetings cards and signs, practising on paper as well as wood, glass and plastic. All materials are provided, there is a short lunch break (bring a packed lunch as the café is closed for refurbishment), and the session is recommended for ages 14+, with under-18s accompanied by a paying adult.
