Landscapes in Pastel
About
A five-week Monday-morning pastel course at Attenborough Arts Centre teaching landscape techniques from mark-making to finished personal artwork.
This five-week course introduces landscape drawing in pastels, starting with materials, colour confidence and expressive mark-making before progressing to layering, blending, texture and form. Guided exercises and demonstrations cover composition, colour harmony, focal points and expressive backgrounds, and in the final week participants complete a personal pastel artwork. All materials are provided and the relaxed group is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Participants must be aged 18 or over.
