About

A nine-week Friday-morning sketchbook course at Attenborough Arts Centre, tutored by Austin Orwin, for adults wanting to build a sketching habit.

This nine-week course runs on Friday mornings from 15 January to 12 March 2027, offering 22.5 hours of studio contact time. Participants learn ways to fill a sketchbook, tackle composition and layout, and experiment with perspective, using the built environment, nature and still-life objects as reference, with some sessions in the centre's galleries. Suitable for beginners and returning sketchers aged 18+, with all materials included in the fee.
