Build a Wild Wicker Beast – A Side by Side Project

A free drop-in family workshop helping craftsman Stefan Jennings build large willow creatures in the museum courtyard, with mulled cider and apple cake.

Visitors of all ages can drop in to the museum courtyard and work alongside West Country craftsman Stefan Jennings to twist and bend willow sticks into large beasts — possibly a bear, deer, boar or wild cat. The finished creatures will feature in a display next year. Participants can also tie a winter wish on an indoor rag tree and enjoy mulled cider, Devon apple cake and bread from One Mile Bakery. No experience is needed.
