Wheel Thrown Pottery

An 11-week Tuesday afternoon course at Mary Ward Centre, Stratford teaching wheel-thrown pottery techniques including throwing, glazing, decorating and firing.

This course introduces students to the pottery wheel, with an emphasis on developing throwing techniques. Learners practise centring, throwing and trimming clay, then move on to glaze application, decorating techniques and the basics of kiln firing. Basic materials are provided, with specialist clays and glazes available at an extra charge. The session is now full.
