Weekend Enamelling
About
A one-day workshop at Mary Ward Centre where beginners learn enamelling techniques for jewellery, with advanced students developing their own projects.
This one-day Saturday workshop introduces the art of enamelling, suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with jewellery or sculpture experience. Students learn how to prepare metal for enamelling and explore surface texturing techniques such as hammer texture, rolling mills and pendant drill work. Teaching combines one-to-one dialogue, group discussion, tutor demonstrations and handouts, with practical work as evidence of learning. Some materials and tools are provided, with additional materials available to buy in-house.
