Creating a Felted Christmas Stocking

A two-day adult education course making a reusable felted Christmas stocking using wet and needle felting, embroidery and embellishments.

Over two Fridays, tutor Rosina Godwin guides participants in making an adult leg-sized reusable Christmas stocking from handmade felt. The first session covers creating a template, laying out wool fibres and wet felting them into a three-dimensional form; the second focuses on needle-felted patterns and simple embroidery, with optional beads and sequins. Suitable for beginners and those with more experience, with basic materials provided and a list of items to bring.
