Pattern Cutting: Zero Waste (Bottoms)

A four-week Thursday course at Mary Ward Centre teaching zero-waste pattern cutting for bottoms, culminating in a finished garment.

This four-week course introduces the principles of zero-waste garment design, showing how intentional pattern planning can eliminate fabric waste. Learners plan patterns directly from fabric dimensions, map shapes efficiently and construct their garment on sewing machines, leaving with a completed zero-waste pattern and garment. Participants need basic maths, introductory pattern cutting skills and dress sewing skills, and bring their own cloth and tools.
